All of our geotextile fabrics are professional-grade and are designed for use in both residential & commercial applications. Our fabrics are designed for years of continuous use in the designated application.
We offer many different fabrics in various weights and material composition. Looking for a fabric not listed? Give us a call at (800) 520-7731.
Most drainage fabrics on the market claim to be permeable with a high water flow rate. Specification sheets show flow rate but it can be difficult to translate the testing numbers into a real world example.

Non-Woven Fabric Being Installed
An 8 oz non-woven geotextile is a fabric constructed of polypropylene staple fibers in a random structure creating a very strong, dimensional staple fabric. The fibers are specifically created to resist UV deterioration and are immobile to commonly encountered soil chemicals. The fabric will not form mildew and is non-biodegradable.
The majority of geotextiles are created using a needle-punched process. Staple fibers or continuous filaments are bonded by interweaving the fibers with barbed needles. The finished product looks and feels like felt. In some cases, the product might come in white or orange. The orange fabric is used as a warning barrier which indicates contaminated soil.
Another significant process for non-woven geotextiles is called spun bonding. This process is where extruded filaments are spun onto a collecting belt and bonded by applying heated rolls. The final result is smoother and stiffer with smaller pores and greater strength. The color of this product is usually gray.
Non-woven products include:
Non-woven needle-punched
Non-woven spun-bonded
Non-woven civil
Non-woven environmental
Non-woven filtration includes wrapping geotextile around pipes or enclosing stone with geotextile to form a system that will allow water to pass through but prevents soil from entering and clogging the system. This is known as the French Drains. Non-woven fabrics are very inexpensive alternatives to graded aggregate and sand filters. These fabrics can remove many problems related to using, purchasing, and transporting aggregate.
Geotextiles used in separation projects include paver patios, walkways, and outdoor areas where large animals, such as horses and cows, roam to prevent mud and stream crossing in light traffic areas, under playground mulch, for parking or driving areas in wet areas. AREMA recommends using heavy-weight non-woven as separators under railroad ballasts. AREMA is the abbreviation for the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association.
Applications for non-woven products include (but are not limited to):
French Drains
Asphalt Overlay
Filtration
Soil Seperation
Weed Barrier
Geomembrane Cushioning
